I’m BACK!!New BH Cosmetics Foil Eyes Palette Review…

After a busy few months SOO glad to be back to blog writing and talking all things makeup. I recently purchased the BH Cosmetics Foil Eyeshadow Palette and thought I’d share my thoughts. Sharing is Caring lol so let’s jump straight in.

GUYSSS…..I’m so in love with this palette. Although I am not in love with everrrry shade included in the palette the consistency is on POINT!!!! Creamy, PIGMENTED and long-lasting all you want for an eye shadow palette .As with most foiled shadows, there may be some fall out when packing on the shadow however the shadows are very easy to remove when needed.

If you are considering adding this palette to your make-up collect, do not hesitate….GO GET THIS BABY AND BRING IT HOME TO MAMA!!!!

See a few swatches below (not the best but demonstrates the level of pigmentation)

**Available at BH .I got mine from Beauty retailing for £13**

Skincare: Oily Skin? I promise you’ll love these products…..

I have a confession……..I am OBSESSED with skincare products! When I started wearing  make up in my teens I did not have a clue what category my skin type fell into and how this would determine what make up products I would needed in order to achieve my desired flawless skin. For the longest time, I would use MAC’s tinted moisturizer which would even out my complexion yet leave me super oily and greasy …not cute at all. This is when I realized  I needed to invest in products which would mattify my face and give me a flawless finish! I quickly discovered in order to achieve flawless looking skin , I needed a strong, healthy base for my makeup. This is when finding the right products for my oily skin became my mission.  As much as oily skin is a pain, there are many benefits as it enables our skin to maintain prolonged hydration, decreases aging and sun damage so ensuring that I maintain the natural level of moisture in my skin is very important to me. I have listed the products I use daily to tame my oily skin without removing the natural level of hydration and moisture it needs, have a look :

I’ve been loving La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo(+),

This oil-free corrective treatment works to correct imperfections on the skin surface whilst leaving your skin hydrated and nourished, drying to a matte finish. I like using this product daily both in the morning and at night. I love the way my skin feels once I have applied it to my skin and I have noticed a decrease in my dark marks and blemishes.

Next , Is the La Roche-Posay’s Serozinc Toner,

Any lazy girl’s dream! This spray on toner is a quick and easy step in my skincare routine. I swipe this across my face every morning following my cleaner and leave to absolve into the skin. This product combined with the La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar Duo(+) have definitely contributed to the positive changes to my skin .

Finally La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar and St Ives Apricot Invigorating scrub ,

I can not and will not live without these products! One scrubbing away all my dead skin cells coupled with a delicious scent of apricot whilst  the other focuses on gently removing the leftovers of last night’s makeup this combination is a dream. This may sound OTT however I use both everyday ( the scrub first and cleanser to follow) however each product works great individually. This combination leaves my skin glowing(not greasy) and feeling fresh, ready to start the day. Another great scrub I tend to use is the Garnier Pure Active Intensive Charcoal Scrub. Containing two per cent salicylic acid, this scrub deeply exfoliates the skin surface which overtime reveals clearer and a more even skin tone by gently attacking imperfections caused by blemishes.  I tend to use the scrub everyday , morning and evening however it is recommended to use three to four times a week.

So that is all for my skincare routine, if you have oily skin I hope this post has been helpful. If you have any other products you would recommend for oily skin, please leave a comment below:)

LUNA Sleeping Night Oil by Sunday Riley Review-Blue tansy or Blue fantasy??

Hey friends! So yesterday I turned 27!!!! And to mark my first day as a 27 year old I thought I would give birth to my blog by publishing my first EVER product review.

First up is the LUNA Sleeping Oil by Sunday Riley ,marked to be the next generation of retinoid oil with ingredients promised to tackle the appearance of damaged skin whilst reducing beaming pores, I jumped at the opportunity to test this baby out. Now, all this goodness comes with a hefty price tag of £85 a bottle which in my eyes screamed MIRACLE  skin also reflecting the confidence Sunday Riley has in her products however before rushing to the shops I decided to watch a few reviews to ensure I was making the right investment (because this stuff is not cheap!) To be honest most reviews were positive so I rushed out and brought it home to give it go.

Now I am an oily skin girl, however I am obsessed with good skincare products and no matter how many natural oils the skin produces , great skin care = GREAT SKIN (plus water!).  Firstly, I must comment on the packaging, the oil is presented on a white cushioned platform and looks like pure luxury. Now back to the oil, once dispensed from the handle the consistency is somewhat thick however once rubbed onto the skin it does not feel as heavy on the face. However, if you are sensitive to usual fragrances ( a mixture of herbal spices) ,you may not be a fan. Due to the retinoid ingredient, I used the Luna oil three times a week every night for a month until my skin got used to the product and began to use it four times a week. In the early stages of using the product, I did experience some flaking which was not so cute(FYI! completely normal side-effect of retinoid) but after a few weeks the flaking  stopped.

To be honest, I do not think this is a bad product however I do not believe this is a miracle product at all. I have not seen any major changes to the tone of my skin nor the size of my pores however my skin is softer however I believe this would be similar result from any facial oil product.  That being said ,  I like the part this product plays in my night time routine following cleansing my skin however I personally believe you could find a similar night oil with cheaper price tag and achieve similar results.

Don’t want pay £85 for a night oil? Have a look at other great alternatives below:

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – £37

Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil – £15
